The Serrrata is one of my favorite Spyderco prototypes from this year’s Amsterdam Meet (& IWA show). Eric also provides a litte info on the manufacturing process and challenges for this prototype.
My last video from the Spyderco booth at the IWA Show in Germany features a a little bonus material. Eric Glesser wanted to show a new solid black handle they’re working on for the Manix 2 Lightweight. I’m sure a lot of people prefer a solid black handle over the transluscent blue in the current model. I love the transluscent blue FRCP material on the Manix 2, but it’s not for everyone. Some people have referred to it as a toy. A solid black Manix 2 Lightweight should be right up their alley.
The Squeak is a great little folder, and now a pink version is in the works. Spyderco is considering more colors, but pink will be the first varation from the regular black FRN handle. Eric Glesser showed the pink Squeak production prototype at the IWA show in Germany.

Eric Glesser gives a quick presentation of the new Bob Terzuola Starmate prototype by Spyderco.
Sal Glesser talks about the history, development and features of the new Spyderco South Fork fixed blade, designed by Phil Wilson. There’s a quite a bit of background noise that I tried to surpress as much as possible. At times it can be hard to hear everything, I hope you can still follow the story Sal is telling because I found it very interesting.
